Defending Women and Children from Gender Ideology Extremism, Supporting Women’s Rights, Single-Sex Spaces, and Child Safeguarding

In recent years, gender ideology and its ramifications, fuelled by social contagion and radical trans activism, have eroded the clarity of biological sex, undermined women’s rights, endangered children’s welfare, and confused the very language of law and public policy. This has created a climate in which women are denied safety in single-sex spaces, children are exposed to irreversible medical interventions, and institutions are pressured to replace truth with ideology.

The Women’s Policy Centre urges the Government of the United Kingdom to act decisively. This policy brief, Protecting Women and Children, sets out a comprehensive programme to restore biological reality to law, defend the rights of women, preserve the integrity of sport, and ensure the safeguarding of all children. At its heart lies a simple principle: sex matters, in law and in life. Women are adult human females, and children deserve protection rooted in evidence, not ideology. Recognising this truth is essential if we are to uphold equality, dignity, and fairness in our society. This is not a programme of exclusion but of protection: protection for women from male violence and intrusion, protection for children from irreversible harm, and protection for society from the consequences of denying reality.

The United Kingdom has always stood for fairness, freedom, and truth. If we are to preserve these values, we must be clear-eyed and courageous in defending women and safeguarding children. This policy brief lays the groundwork for legislation and public policy that will do exactly that.
