Britain says no: 6-to-1 against letting in men from countries where rape and child abuse are widespread

Nearly three-quarters of britons would vote against letting in men from countries where women aren’t safe, new poll reveals

New polling by Whitestone Insight commissioned by the Women’s Policy Centre (WPC) reveals overwhelming public opposition to allowing men from countries where rape, child abuse and domestic violence are widespread, and where women are not regarded as equal to men, to enter the UK.

Nearly three-quarters (73%) of British adults say they would vote against allowing such men into the country, compared with just 13% who would vote for it, a margin of almost six to one. The opposition is not soft: 58% say they would “definitely” vote against, more than four times the number who would vote for entry in any form. A further 14% don’t know.
