Stopping Political Indoctrination in British Schools

On Wednesday, 18 March 2026, the Women’s Policy Centre convened a roundtable in Committee Room 14, House of Commons, to examine current practice in English schools, assess the implications for child safeguarding, and consider how Government policymaking must evolve. Hosted by Sarah Pochin MP for Runcorn and Helsby, chaired by Paola Diana, and closed with remarks from Suella Braverman MP for Fareham and Waterlooville and Education, Skills and Equalities spokesperson for Reform UK, the discussion focused on the growing evidence of age-inappropriate, sexualising, and
politicised resources being presented to children.

The roundtable was informed by the simultaneous publication of the Women’s Policy Centre report The RSHE Indoctrination Machine. This report demonstrates that RSHE lessons and school libraries have become Trojan horses for extremist gender ideology, hyper-sexualising young children with adult concepts of pornography, “gender euphoria,” and surgical transition while systematically bypassing parents and erasing biological reality. The result is a “school-to-clinic pipeline” that contributes to social contagion,
confusion, anxiety, self-harm, and irreversible medical pathways, concerns that echo the findings of the Cass Review (2024). Speakers Clare Page (Founder of No Secret Lessons and Women’s Policy Centre Special Advisor on Parent Advocacy), Tanya Carter (Spokesperson for Safe Schools Alliance UK), Robin Millar (Former Conservative MP for Aberconwy), and Cathy Mudge (Founding Member of Protect and Teach) presented compelling evidence that an institutional belief system now prioritises ideology over facts, safeguarding, and parental responsibility.
